Who is eligible to receive 利记sbo Hardware?

What hardware will I get?

建筑与设计学院和游戏软件开发专业的学生可能有资格获得联想ThinkPad P1 G5.

工程学院和建筑工程专业的学生可能有资格获得联想ThinkPad P1 G5.

Students in the College of Business & IT and College of Arts & Sciences may be eligible to pick up a Lenovo ThinkPad x13 Yoga G3.

Students majoring in Graphic Design, 媒体通信和音频工程专业可能有资格获得一台MacBook Pro.

What software will I get?

利记sbo笔记本电脑上预装了各种各样的软件供学生使用. 利记sbo致力于通过学习和行业标准软件应用使学生处于教育的前沿.

每年利记sbo都会根据各个学院(建筑和设计)的规格重新配置利记sbo笔记本电脑, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and CoBIT) and their respective departments.

每个学院或院系审查并建议在利记sbo笔记本电脑上安装某些软件. This software configuration is specific to the student’s major.  

硬件预装了通过咨询定制的软件配置, 学生专业或院系教师的推荐和评论. This customized software configuration is called an image.

Is hardware and software required for all students?

利记sbo laptops are highly recommended for undergraduate students.

In the event an exception is made, 研究生遵循与本科生相同的条款和政策. Graduate students must pay a $500 security deposit, sign a laptop agreement, 并在规定的日期前归还硬件(否则每天不归还电脑将收取20美元的逾期费用).

How does the Laptop Program benefit 利记sbo students?

How does participation in the Laptop Program benefit me personally?

When you participate in the Laptop Program you will receive:

  • The use of hardware for your undergraduate career at 利记sbo.

  • Direct integration of your hardware and software into many classes, 包括教室网络连接和校园周围的互联网接入
  • 获得电脑维修和技术支持的服务台服务.

When can I pickup my LTuZone hardware?

Eligible students can pickup hardware during laptop distribution dates.

The student must pay a $500 security deposit, be registered for classes and sign the Online laptop agreement, available via  BannerWeb , before they can pick up any hardware. See note below for students under 18 years of age.

Can I use my own equipment instead of 利记sbo hardware?

Tech support for personal equipment?

使用个人设备的学生自行承担保险费用. Also, due to hardware or software differences, 帮助台可能无法就个人设备提供问题解决或软件协助. 此外，利记sbo笔记本电脑的维修和交换特权以及通过Help Desk提供的其他服务也不适用于个人设备.

What about the deposit?

500美元的押金可以通过支票、汇票、现金、信用卡或经济援助来支付   One Stop Center . 押金将在硬件返回后大约三到四周内以支票邮寄的方式退还. See note below.

Note: Laptop security  deposit  will be returned by  check  在笔记本电脑被退回后大约两到三周的邮件中.  Security deposits are first  applied to any outstanding student account  balance.


Do I have to pay a deposit each year?

No, students do not need to pay a deposit each year. 当学生归还笔记本电脑时，如果他们计划在下个学期再取一台笔记本电脑，他们可以选择保留押金. These funds, less any charges for damages to the hardware, will be held and reapplied to your deposit.

Can I keep my hardware over the summer break?

Yes, if certain conditions are met. 如果学生注册了夏季课程和/或注册了下一个秋季学期的课程，他们可以将硬件保留到夏季.

What am I responsible for when I participate in the Laptop Program?


  • Keeping it clean and in good condition.
  • Ensuring it is in your possession and in a secure place.
  • Reporting any damage or theft immediately to the Help Desk.
  • 如果您没有注册下学期的课程，请在指定的归还日期将所有硬件归还给帮助台.

What if I cannot return the laptop by the designated date?
